There must have been a mistake on the ratings for Bay Fanatic because my trip was and has always been 6 stars if there is such a thing ...all my trips with Joe have been outstanding...It took a long time to find a quality,honest and professional guide in Matagorda..Damn found one in Bay Fanatics...

This was our second trip out with Captain Joe and while we didn't catch as many keepers as we did last time we caught a TON of fish and had a fantastic time. Joe always goes above and beyond and makes every effort for his clients to have a good and successful trip. We are already looking forward to booking our next trip out in September!

Couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Had a first time fisher lady and the capt made sure all of us were taken care of from start to finish. After part of the day the first time fisher was casting baiting and releasing fish. Highly recommend and will continue to go with captain joe!

Saved the day! Joe took our last minute request for a 2 boat trip which didn't have availability online - really helped us out and it wasn't even for fishing but for looking at rocks ! I can highly recommend his organisational skills but as I wasn't on the trip, so will leave others to comment on that, though I bet they had a great time and saw all they needed to see!

I have been out with Joe multiple times and he never disappoints if fish ain’t biting within certain amount of cast one spot we moving and he always gonna find some fish they ain’t always keeps but ur catching and that to me is what it’s about enjoy it every time I go with him took my wife this trip and she loved it even for her not being big on fishing she really enjoyed it

Took my wife for her first time gigging with captain joe and it was a blast. Captain joe really worked to put us on the flatties. We covered a lot of ground in search of clean water and made it happen with a limit of flounder and 2 gar. While other boats called it a night captain joe opted to stay out determined to make it a successful trip for us. Highly recommend yall check him out. Thanks captain. We will definitely book another trip
