What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Jeremiah and their crew joined us for a winter evening on Matagorda Bay with Bay Finatic Fishing Guide Service LLC. Weather: Warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from 75°F in the morning to 88°F by afternoon. Light southeast winds at 5-10 mph.
Water Temperature: Averaging around 80°F.
Tides: Low tide at 7:30 AM, high tide at 2:15 PM.
Fishing Overview:
The fishing in Matagorda Bay has been excellent this week, with anglers reporting abundant catches and active fish throughout the bay. The calm winds and clear skies have created ideal conditions for both inshore and offshore fishing.

Species Report:
Speckled Trout: Speckled trout are biting well, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. Most successful anglers are using live shrimp under popping corks or soft plastics near grassy shorelines and oyster reefs. The average size is 16-20 inches, with several reports of larger trout over 25 inches.
